This a new version of a photo I took in 2007 at the CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) in Geneva, Switzerland. This photo shows one of the many server farms that handle all the data and calculations related to the particle detection research programs. The CERN has been recently again into the light after the Higg's Boson particle discovery announcement.
For this version of the photo, I was inspired by a comment left on WeeklyShots.com, where I posted the original version of this photo for the "High Speed" theme. I would be more than happy to hear which version you prefer.
Voici une nouvelle version d'une photo que j'ai prise en 2007 au CERN (Centre Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire) à Genève, Suisse. Cette photo montre une des nombreuses fermes de serveurs qui gèrent les données et les calculs relatifs aux programmes de détection des particules. Le CERN a été récemment à nouveau dans la lumière après l'annonce de la détection de la particule nommée le Boson de Higgs.
