This photo is from the land near the Molokai Lodge of the (formerly) Molokai Ranch on Molokai. The Molokai Ranch represented the best, and most popular option for most visiting travelers to stay on the beautiful island of Molokai. Sadly, the ranch was shut down a year ago by Molokai properties, who owns over 1/3 of the island, in what appeared to be a power play to push development on the mostly undeveloped and pristine island. More than 100 employees were laid off; a large number for the sparsely populated island.
